Clemens Boigner was born on 16.6.1992 in Vienna. He was interested in music at a very early age and received his first cello lessons at the age of 5 withProf. Georg Baich at the Margareten Music School.

At the age of 15, he switched to the preparatory cello course with Prof. Jontscho Bayrov at the Vienna Conservatory.

In 2012 he began his concert studies with Prof. Lilia Schulz-Bayrova at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, where he completed his bachelor’s degree with distinction.

At this time, his pedagogical career also began. After years of teaching privately with great passion, he has been a cello teacher at the private music school “VIMAC” since September 2022.

From April 2023, he took up his maternity leave position as a lecturer at the W agram Region Music School in Grafenwörth. This was then converted into a permanent contract after the end of the maternity leave. Since autumn 2023, he has also been working as a cello teacher at the Musikantenschmiede in Gramatneusiedl.

Clemens Boigner has won prizes at numerous national and international competitions both as a soloist and chamber musician - including “Prima la Musica” as well as at the international cello competitions in Liezen and Kosice.

Concert tours have taken him to Barcelona, Prague, Moscow, Tokyo, Komlo, London, Montenegro and numerous cities in Germany.

At master classes in Courchevel, Horn, Bad Leonfelden and Bulgaria, he has worked with renowned cellists and teachers such as Patrick Demenga, Wen-Sin Yang, Xavier Gagnepain, Franz Bartolomey, Martin Hornstein and Michael Polyzoides. At the master class in Bad Leonfelden in 2017, he was also the winner of the “Martin Hornstein Interpretation Prize”.

In addition, he has already gained a lot of orchestral experience. He substituted with the Tonkünstler Orchestra Niederösterreich, the Bühne Baden Orchestra and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. Since autumn 2022, he has also been a regular substitute at the Volksoper Vienna.

He has already worked with Fabio Luisi, Christian Thielemann, Yutaka Sado, Georg Mark, Johannes Wildner and other great conductors.

Clemens is very active in chamber music and is part of a wide variety of formations, from simple duos with piano to traditional string quartets.

In 2019, together with two colleagues, he founded a piano trio (“Tres Partes Trio”), which was signed by Jeunesse for the 22/23 season and performs throughout Austria.
