Guillaume Faraut
was born in France in 1987 and studied at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Stefan Hempel and Kolja Blacher. He joined the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester in 2014 and regularly performs as guest concertmaster in numerous European orchestras. He has been a lecturer in violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt since 2019 and since the 2023/24 season principal violist of the Frankfurt Opern- und Museumsorchester. What Guillaume Faraut personally loves about his profession is the fact that he can and must constantly seek new ways to develop his technical and musical skills. In addition to his orchestral activities, he is also intensively involved as a violin and viola teacher, as well as a soloist and chamber musician.
